Tree of Life Minis

Blogger seems to be working again - or I did something different this time. I did end up working on Saturday to paint the backgrounds (steps pictured below). It was worth it. I had a great time painting, and I was very happy with how they turned out. A couple days later the backgrounds were dry enough to paint the trees in. This step was a little nerve wracking. There is no going back, no fixing a mistake. The white doesn't erase away, and you can't paint over the background. Fortunately, I feel good and like the way the trees came out. Cutting them apart (I painted them all on the same piece of canvas) and stretching them wasn't very fun. I think I stretched each painting at least twice. But, now they are ready to be fixed into their frames and hung up!
